Costin to replace Kirsch in key finance role at Meeting Needs

Brian Kirsch has announced his retirement after nearly a decade as Treasurer of Meeting Needs, the event industry foundation.
Meeting Needs chair Lene Corgan said: “Brian has done a sterling job for us as both Treasurer and Company Secretary and we are very grateful to him for his excellent service including extending his time until we found the right replacement. To fill a voluntary position such as this for 10 years is an outstanding contribution.”

He said of his time with Meeting Needs: “This is a time of mixed emotions. On the one hand I’m sad to be cutting my ties with the events industry, where I have spent the last 35 years of my life as a supplier and activist. On the other hand, I’m happy to have been able to put something back as Treasurer of Meeting Needs to support the great work that this foundation does.

Matt Costin, former CEO of BDRC, has been appointed to replace him. Costin brings an extraordinary knowledge of the UK venue scene and offers outstanding relationships with the biggest hotel chains in the country.

Costin said: “I have been connected with Meeting Needs for around 20 years, having built the incentive of charitable donations into our VenueVerdict customer feedback platform. I am now looking forward to working with the Meeting Needs team and getting to know better how they serve the beneficiaries they support worldwide”.
