Suppliers beat agencies in events industry golf fund-raiser at The Belfry

A team of 16 Agency representatives competed with 16 Supplier & Partner representatives in The Meeting Needs Cup 2026 at The Belfry with the supplier team victorious in the Ryder Cup-style Fourball Match Play event, winning 4.5 – 3.5.

It was a day of golf, networking and fundraising at the world-renowned Brabazon Course, in a friendly but fiercely competitive team match with the £5600 raised supporting Meeting Needs, the event industry foundation. The breakfast, golf, networking, BBQ and prize presentations were generously donated by the Belfry. The event was presented by Realise and supported by a number of industry partners. It was hosted by Meeting Needs, XSEM and Chew Events.

Asembl Group´s Gavin Farley said: “The Meeting Needs Cup was a brilliant example of our industry at its best. It combined friendly competition with genuine collaboration, giving people from across agencies and supplier partners the chance to build relationships while raising money for a cause that really matters. It was a privilege to be involved.”

Seeing so many organisations come together to support that mission was inspiring, and raising £5,600 in a single day is a fantastic achievement.”
