A massive thank you to everyone who joined us for the Meeting Needs Annual Showcase last night! This event is always a special highlight for us—a chance to pause, celebrate, and share the amazing, tangible impact of the fundraising and support we receive from the industry all year round.

We couldn’t do what we do without an incredible community behind us, and last night was a reflection of that.

🏆 Celebrating Excellence: The David Hackett Award
We are honoured to congratulate the four #eventprofs behind Events R Talented, the well-deserved winners of this year’s David Hackett Award for Outstanding Contribution!

Last year, this incredible team raised the highest amount ever fundraised in a single evening—over £29,000. What started as a small idea between a group of friends looking to make a difference has grown into one of the biggest, most impactful events that gives back to our industry.

Matthew Curran, Ken Findlay, Graeme Saunders and Paul Tidy, we are so proud of everything you’ve achieved, and we wish you the absolute best of luck for your upcoming 2026 event! 🚀

🎤 Telling our story
Finally, a big thank you to our speakers. To Fi Bool who shared the inspirational story behind Be More Dandelion CIC, Fay Sharpe OBE who continues to make a lasting impact on the industry through the University Challenge and Fast Forward 15, and to our board member Dan Bardgett who shared how he was able to connect his work with a client incentive to further support one of our beneficiaries in Africa.

And of course, thank you to the wonderful Shonali Devereaux (she / her) for bringing her brilliant emcee skills, warmth, and energy to the stage as our host for the evening.
