Event industry charity foundation Meeting Needs is chasing a record fund-raising year ending in May.

Around £20,000 is needed to top the best ever year in 2016 when £166,000 was raised for worthy causes.

“With superb industry support including recent events organised by GLAM and Mundus, our fund-raising has been bolstered and is returning to pre-Covid levels”, said chair Chris Parnham. “Now is the time for the industry to follow suit and help us have a record year. If you are staging an event, think about choosing Meeting Needs as the beneficiary of any fund-raising.”

Vice-chair Lene Corgan (pictured) added: “There are also many other ways to support us such becoming a Corporate Charity Partner or as an individual you can be a Charity Champion. Or you can participate in the Donate to Visit programme where agencies charge suppliers an entrance fee for sales calls that is donated to Meeting Needs. Whichever type of support you choose, will help us reach a record year over the next two months!”
