Events R Talented has smashed its previous fundraising records with £29,186.87 for the events industry charity foundation Meeting Needs at its auditions evening and gala dinner.
The event, held in June at the Leonardo Royal St Paul’s Hotel, brought together more than 300 event professionals for a night of entertainment and fundraising. The total raised marks the highest-ever single event donation to Meeting Needs, surpassing both last year’s figure and all previous efforts.
The Events R Talented team – Matthew Curran, Graeme Saunders, Paul Tidy and Ken Findlay – hailed the result as their best to date.
Findlay said: “A massive thank you to the 300 plus event professionals who came along to support us on the night. Not only did you help us smash our 2024 figure, the 2025 figure raised is our best ever from one event and is also the highest ever raised at one event in aid of Meeting Needs.”
Saunders added: “Thank you to all those that attended, gave generously, auditioned and donated prizes for the auction/raffle.Keep your eyes peeled for information that will be out in due course for 2026!”
The evening featured auditions, live performances, and the announcement of Holly Ritchie as the 2025 winner, who will reprise her performance at the M&IT Awards on Friday 19 September at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House, London.
Meeting Needs chair Lene Corgan praised the team’s efforts, noting the impact the funds will have on charitable projects supported by the foundation.
She said: “This was a fabulous result that will benefit many needy causes and big thanks are due to the talented team of Matt, Graeme, Paul and Ken.”
