Fund-raising by Meeting Needs topped £135,000 in 2025, according to the charity foundation’s chair Lene Corgan, with a roll-call of projects completed in the UK and overseas.
Many of the donations were focused on children with several major investments in school equipment from Malawi to Vietnam while assisting poor families with food provisions here in the UK.
Writing to supporters, sponsors and partners, she said: “As 2025 draws to a close, we reflect on what we’ve accomplished together this year. Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve raised £135,000, enabling us to fund vital causes both here in the UK and abroad. Your continued involvement has made an immeasurable impact, and we are deeply grateful for your continued commitment to Meeting Needs.
“Here are some of the amazing things we’ve been able to achieve together this year:
- Royal Southampton Yacht Club: £4,548 to provide respite and skills development for young carers in the UK.
- Petals: £5,000 to support 10 individuals or couples coping with baby loss in the UK.
- Community Grub Hub: £4,836 to provide meals for 80 families for 6 months in the UK.
- Clowns Without Borders: £5,000 to bring trauma-informed, playful activities to over 1,000 children affected by the war in Ukraine.
- Village Africa: £5,194 to fund an ambulance service for 7,000 people in rural Tanzania.
- Jacaranda UK Foundation: £4,500 to provide solar-powered lighting for schoolchildren in Malawi.

“It’s been an exciting year, filled with incredible partnerships. We’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Micebook, Greengage, IAPCO, Northstar Meetings Group, Cvent, DRPG, Mundus Representation, Falkenberg & Florence, and so many more. A major highlight of the year was the launch of the Meeting Needs Cup golf fundraiser and, of course, the Events R’ Talented fundraising event, which raised a fantastic £29,186.87 for Meeting Needs, making it our biggest fundraising event ever!
“We are continually inspired by the generosity of individuals within this industry. Whether it’s donating raffle prizes, organising events, or helping us sell raffle tickets, your contributions make a real difference. A special mention goes to the 38 brave industry colleagues who took part in the Royal Parks Half Marathon, raising over £26,000 for Meeting Needs – just one example of what we can achieve together when we unite for a cause.
“On behalf of the entire Meeting Needs Board, thank you for everything you’ve done this year. We’re excited to continue this journey with you and look forward to achieving even more in 2026!”
