Meeting Needs is celebrating its fifteenth birthday since its formation, by leading event industry figures, back in 2004. The anniversary coincides with another milestone for the event industry’s charity—the distribution of £1 million to over 287 charities in the UK and 68 countries across the globe.
Jason Wilcock, Chair of Meeting Needs, said “Myself and my fellow trustees remain committed to growing our financial support from industry partners and individual fundraisers in order to help as many people in need as we can. For every one of the many wonderful projects we support there is another that we can’t help but would like to. By continuing to improve our reach and network of supporters we hope to change this”
Amongst the worthy causes Meeting Needs agreed to help in 2019 was Happy Days’ providing day trips for disabled and under-privileged children aiming to improve their physical and mental well-being which exemplifies their commitment to supporting charities in the UK as well as further afield.
A few of the current Board and past trustees gathered, rather fittingly, at the Meetings Show, to cut a cake and celebrate the occasion.
The Charity is appealing for industry partners and individual fundraisers to make contact and find out more about how they can help.
