Event industry foundation Meeting Needs has already signed up 30 participants for the team participating in the Royal Park Half Marathon on October 12 this year. With only 10 places remaining and four months until the big day, many will be disappointed as the registration deadline is approaching fast.
The run is a unique opportunity to experience an event with 16,000 other participants tracing the course through four of London´s parks – Hyde Park, Green Park, St James’s Park and Kensington Gardens. On a bright autumn day in early October, the event is a time for people of all ages and abilities to come together to raise cash for their favourite charities.
You don´t have to be an athlete to complete the 13 mile course – many walk the course, enjoying strolling the entire event with friends and colleagues, taking in the sites of a traffic-free capital city on a Sunday morning. Many participants add to the party atmosphere by wearing fancy dress.
