Lene Corgan has joined the executive committee of Meeting Needs, the events industry charity. Lene is business events manager for Tourism Australia and has 17 years experience in destination marketing in the business events sector. Danish-born Lene also worked for VisitDenmark as well as in destination management and the airline sector and is the current chair of industry body ‘The Oysters’, a group of 26 international tourist boards and convention bureaux working collectively to assist UK event planners in taking their events overseas.
Meeting Needs chair Jennifer Jenkins said: “Two years ago the charity embarked on a process of reducing the age of the committee and rebalancing its gender split. This is a continuation of that process and Lene brings tremendous access to the world’s destinations so we are delighted to have her on board.”
