Are you ready for a walk in the parks? Or maybe a run? Event industry foundation Meeting Needs is already making plans for this year´s Royal Parks Half Marathon in London – again expected to be one of the foundation´s top fundraisers. Last year more than £26,000 was raised for worthy causes by runners and walkers on behalf of Meeting Needs.

The first 10 runners and walkers of 40 participants have been recruited for the October 11 run already and sponsors are now also being sought. It is one of the highlights of the year with 16000 people raising cash for charity while enjoying the beauty of some of London’s loveliest settings. Runners and walkers begin at Hyde Park and take in Green Park, St James´s Park and Kensington Gardens as well as some of London´s most iconic landmarks like Buckingham Palace, Big Ben and the Royal Albert Hall. Meeting Needs will be raising funds with a team in the event for the 10th consecutive year.

Participants can join the Meeting Needs group alone or in teams for the October 11 event and Adventurous have already signed up their team of Flow Hancox, Joe Garland, Joanna Garland and Keiron Bowen. Participants are required to raise a minimum of £400 for Meeting Needs and pay the discounted rate of £65 to take part.
