The Akwaaba Foundation in Accra, Ghana, has accelerated its operations thanks to the delivery of a car paid for by event industry foundation, Meeting Needs.

Transportation is essential for delivering the charity’s services, which include volunteer transfers, education support, vocational training, sports programmes and community outreach. With a more reliable, larger and more versatile Kia, Akwaaba will be able to expand its reach and improve efficiency—ultimately helping serve more children and families effectively.

Their previous car provided by the founders) was too small to carry people and equipment together, prone to frequent breakdowns and unable to navigate rough roads.

Jordan Palmer, Founder & CEO of Akwaaba Foundation, said: “Thanks to your support, we have been able to identify and purchase a vehicle for the charity. It is already making a huge difference—allowing us to safely transport our volunteers, reach more communities, and deliver even greater impact through our programmes.

We are deeply grateful for your generosity. This grant has provided us with a resource that will continue to strengthen our work and help us better serve those who need it most. Thank you once again for believing in our mission and for making such a meaningful contribution to the work of Akwaaba Volunteers.”
